To stop being lonely, you must reach out and make a connection with another human being.

The best way to meet people is to drop your defenses and become approachable, I am not talking about picking up hitchhikers or hooking up with people

who put adds on Craigslist I am talking about smiling and saying “hi” to someone who you wouldn’t normally make eye contact with, don’t be creepy just be

human, you will be surprised how people react.

After you drop your defenses you must also realize that it also is a numbers game, you are going to have to approach 10 people before 1 reacts favorably,

sorry its sad but true, but it will get easier the more you do it.

You must also reevaluate where you are looking for relationships, you can fish in a toilet but it is not going to give you good results, instead join groups

( AA, car clubs, Church, Sunday School, travel groups, anything…) and be approachable.

You don’t need an app or to swipe left or right, to meet people, you just need to be approachable and remember that some people are just miserable,

angry, assholes and that the 10 to 1 rule still applies.

But most of all if you want a friend you are going to have to be one.
